Based in South London, Deadboy has been producing garage influenced tracks for many years, incorporating elements of house, R'n'B, dancehall, techno, funky, grime, bassline, and many other influences. The NME have recently picked up on Deadboy and called his sound ‘Rave Step’ but lets try not to pigeon hole him before he gets started!
His debut EP 'U Cheated' came out on Well Rounded records at the end of 2009 and received an outstanding response, selling out swiftly after being played by DJs such as Jackmaster, Oneman, Bok Bok, Joy Orbison, and many others, with Boomkat placing it at #26 in their end of year singles chart.
A one sided 12" of 'If U Want Me', released on Numbers, has been regularly played by the above DJs and others such as Kode9, Ikonika, Modeselektor, Geeneus, Zinc, Martyn, Boy Better Know and many more, achieving great crossover appeal and being touted as one of the records of 2010.
Deadboy has done remix work for various artists, including, Foals, Delphic, Everything Everything, Andy Bell & Appleblim, and presented guest DJ mixes for Radio 1, FACT magazine and XLR8R.
Deadboy will ramp things up in 2010 with more genre defying releases and DJ’ing around the globe.
