WHAT'S HAPPENING AT YOUR ARMY

NOVEMBER 2010

Before we get onto our forthcoming treats there is a bit of housekeeping we want to get out of the way. Firstly, our new digital delivery system NuMu is being very well received by the majority of you but if you are having trouble logging on (or if you are still receiving CDs from us and would prefer digital promos) then please do email Emmanuel here in the office em@your-army.com or call us on 0207 644 6594. Secondly, if you do call then you may well be lucky enough to talk to our new recruit Dan Kinasz previously of PromoOne who can be reached on dan@your-army.com - show him some love.

We now look ahead so get ready for fresh goods from Emalkay who is set to make an explosive comeback with the addictive 'Crusader' out via Caspa's label Dub Police coming this week. For all you big roomers, Deadmau5 offers up 'Sofi Needs A Ladder' taken from his forthcoming album 'Four x Four = 12' and we will be mailing it this week too!! Scandinavian sensation Robyn is ready to drop ravishing new single 'Indestructible' from the 'Body Talk Part 2' sessions. The Krays (aka Brodinski and Yuksek) and Laidback Luke have delivered remixes which we will be mailing this week and we are waiting with baited breath for the A-Trak remix. Also look to receive Chase & Status' new single 'No Problem' any day now. Sinden's label Grizzly is on hot form so look out for 'Chicken Lover' by Bassanova which is getting mailed to you next week. Following the incredible Jack Beats remix of his last single, Patrick Wolf returns to the fore in a glorious mood with 'Time Of My Life'. DFA's finest Still Going provide what seems to be their best remix so far, whilst Leo Zero on the flip delivers a breathtaking dub. Look out for it over the next couple of weeks. 'Sex Sax' has been booming across speakers globally, now Drop The Lime looks set to drop 'Hot As Hell' into that midst with a bevy of mixes from the likes of Yolanda Be Cool, Para One, Nouveau Yorican (Laidback Luke and Gina Turner) as well as newcomers Lil Silva, Canblaster and more. Congratulations to Fake Blood and the great start to his Blood Music label. Releases from Clouds and Bowski have made heavy impacts all over. Keep your ears peeled for the third outing from Menace which will rip your floors apart. Title track 'Hz And Tones' has been opening Fake Blood's DJ sets and creating a lot of chatter online. Jaymo and Andy George's Moda Music label impressive consistency continues with the Pandemonium EP from cohort Tom Staar, it's excitingly bonkers and will be mailed next week. This past year Scion A/V have been turning out some strikingly good releases thus far, you'll be glad to know that a new Azari & III EP can be added to that stockpile with genius remixes from Prince Language, Seth Troxler, Nicolas Jaar and Renaissance Man. Continuing to give a whole new take on r'n'b with their intellectual idioms, Everything Everything shower us with glorious remixes of their single 'Photoshop Handsome' from the likes from Mystery Jets. Cheap Thrills are releasing their 'Vol 2' collection this month but are not resting on their laurels so look out for releases from Reset!, Moonbootica, Heavy Hearts, Baxta and an amazing re-release of 'Sweet Sensation' by Shades of Rhythm. Lastly, Metronomy have almost put together the final touches to their new long player. We've been bowled over by what we've heard up to now. Expect some proper quality remixes soon via one of our favourite labels Because Music.

We're also moving from the humble abode that's occupied us since the beginning, a tearful end but a great new phase in our adventure- Latimer Road (London) is where'll be based from late November, feel free to pop in anytime for tea.

Chars
James, Christian, Emmanuel & Dan
